Dunkeld House Beat River Tay
Another salmon season is over now on the mighty Tay . It was nice to see a couple caught on the last day both on the fly on the Mackenzie FX2 Altas 14'9 .
A few months and wee will be back at it on 15th January time for a wee break now.

Two nice fish caught this morning on the Fly on the Dunkeld House Beat . Caught on the FX2 Atlas 14'9 Mackenzie, Matched up with the NX floating shooting head with a 10ft extra fast sink tip, with a size 9 Dunkeld special . This rod is an absolute dream to fish with effort less casting .

A nice fly caught salmon this morning on the Dunkeld House Beat river Tay . This one was caught with the Mackenzie 13'7 NX1 Atlas combined with the NX Integra shooting head with a 10ft extra fast poly leader. A lovely outfit to fish with .

Another cracking salmon landed this morning on a rather wet day. This one was 18 lb and caught on fly in the Rock pool on the Mackenzie DTX with the phase5 shooting head multi tip line.

Douglas with a lovely fly caught salmon on Tuesday morning on his first cast in the Ivy Tree. sadly the water was starting to rise very quickly on Tuesday.
