Well what an afternoon it turned out to be on opening day for Robert Mair, when this 19 lb springer took a harled tomic in the lady pool. After a very tense 15 minutes it safely in the net unhooked and returned . This has also made us winners of the Redford trophy and is believed to be the first salmon caught in the UK this season just makes it very special .

Not long now till we are back out in search of these beauties the spring salmon . Dunkeld House Beat on the river Tay can certainly hold a few of these early fish.

Another salmon season is over now on the mighty Tay . It was nice to see a couple caught on the last day both on the fly on the Mackenzie FX2 Altas 14'9 .
A few months and wee will be back at it on 15th January time for a wee break now.
